Amazon and e-commerce data MCP
Products, prices, sellers and reviews across Amazon, Walmart and Google Shopping.
Your agent can search Amazon, Walmart and Google Shopping, read a product's price, rating and offers, list the sellers behind a listing, see which keywords an Amazon product ranks for and read its reviews – the data a category decision rests on, without a seller account.
Questions your agent can answer
- What are the top Amazon results for “standing desk”, with price and rating?
- Which keywords does this ASIN rank for, and who competes with it?
- What do Walmart reviews of this product complain about?
The tools it calls
Every row is a tool in the catalogue, with the provider's description and a link to its public reference. Your agent finds them with prowl_search_tools and calls them with prowl_call_tool; each call is billed on its own.
| Tool | Provider | What it returns |
|---|---|---|
amazon_search | SearchAPI.io | Amazon Search — search products on Amazon with prices, ratings, and Prime availability. |
amazon_product | SearchAPI.io | Amazon Product — detailed product info by ASIN (title, price, features, reviews, images). |
dataforseo_labs_amazon_ranked_keywords | DataForSEO | Return organic keywords that a specific Amazon product (ASIN) ranks for in Amazon search results. Reveals the keyword landscape driving traffic to a product listing — key for competitor product intelligence. |
dataforseo_labs_amazon_product_competitors | DataForSEO | Identify competing Amazon products by keyword overlap with a target ASIN. Returns competing ASINs ranked by keyword intersection count, average rank, and sum of positions — key for Amazon competitive intelligence. |
serpapi_amazon_reviews | SerpAPI | Amazon product reviews via SerpAPI — AI review summary with sentiment by topic, top reviews, and reviews from other countries (one page; no pagination). |
serpapi_walmart_reviews | SerpAPI | Walmart product reviews via SerpAPI — rating histogram, review count, recommended %, and top positive/negative reviews (one page; no pagination). |
google_shopping | SearchAPI.io | Google Shopping — search products with prices, sellers, and reviews. Use for product/pricing research and competitive analysis. |
Two ways to ask
Your agent. Add Prowl to Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or any MCP client with one config block (the getting-started walkthrough has it), then ask in plain language. Under the hood the agent calls, for example, prowl_call_tool with tool_name: "amazon_search".
Prowl Agent. Sign in at prowl.chat and ask the built-in agent the same question. It runs on the same tools and bills the same wallet.
When one call is not enough, ask for a report: Prowl plans the calls, checks numeric claims against independent tools and says what it could not confirm.
What it does not cover
Prowl reads public listings. It does not connect to Seller Central or Shopify, and sales volumes for other sellers are not in the catalogue; ranks and reviews are the public proxy.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a Shopify MCP?
No. Prowl reads marketplaces and Google Shopping. It connects to no store you run.
Can I see a competitor's Amazon sales?
Not directly. Keyword ranks, ratings, review counts and offers are the public signals it returns.
Which marketplaces are covered?
Amazon, Walmart and Google Shopping.
